Gypsy
Sweethearts, one of Ogunquit's top restaurants, is a few steps
from the village square. The international menu includes Lobster
Quesadilla, Potato Gnocchi with Spinach, Walnuts, and Gorgonzola,
Chile Crusted Rack of Lamb, and Shrimp with Poblano Cream. Also
featured are exceptional vegetarian dishes, handcrafted soups
and house made desserts. We honor the flavors of the American
melting pot and present them in our own unique way. Our interpretations
are healthy, lustily seasoned and assertive. The wine list has
been a recipient of Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence since
1995. Views of the beautiful gardens and local art work add
to the cozy and appealing atmosphere. Dining is offered inside
and out. Like in the old days, the wines are kept in the cellar,
the herbs are grown in the garden and the ice cream is turned
out back.

Gypsy
Sweethearts, on the scene for more than 25 years, is still tops
with Ogunquit diners. Its the food that has kept people
coming back to this wonderful eatery. Everything on the menu
is made to order. I have dined at Gypsy Sweethearts many times,
and I have never had anything but a positive experience. The
wine list has been a recipient of Wine Spectators Award
of Excellence since 1995. Newsweekly, September

Gypsy
Sweethearts: Eclectic food, great service. Desserts are terrific
here. They make their own ice cream. Many of the dishes are
reminiscent of Spanish tapas, with olives and spiced shrimp
and a great use of international cheeses, but there are Mediterranean
elements as well. The wine list here is refreshingly inexpensive,
with many selections in the $20-$30 range Portsmouth
